Do you want to participate in our new naturalist program at The Redwoods? It is an hour long, free of charge and you can actually learn something new!
The inaugural Wawona Bird Walk will begin from our office located in Wawona at 8038 Chilnualna Falls Road this June 30th at 6:45 p.m.
Spend an hour in the company of our friend from the Yosemite Conservancy David Lukas – a guide studying all aspects of the natural world, with a special emphasis on the Sierra Nevada. His many articles have appeared in local and national magazines and newspapers. And he has taught thousands of people through his classes and programs.
Stroll through historic Wawona inside Yosemite National Park, learn about a variety of the local flora and fauna, wildlife, history, riparian meadows, habitats and have the opportunity to chat with David – writer, researcher, lifelong student of the natural world and one of the awesome Yosemite Conservancy outdoor adventure guides.
No reservations required.
You may bring:
- Snacks and water
- Sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses
- Insect repellent
- Rain gear/waterproof shoes/boots (during inclement weather)
LNT: We want to Leave No Trace during our time in Wawona, Yosemite, to contribute to the care of the Park and respect others who will want to enjoy it in good shape too. Leave what belongs in Yosemite, don’t feed animals, and please be considerate of other visitors.
Hiking Tour Schedule Changes: ALL of The Redwoods In Yosemite Guided Tours are planned for your enjoyment and safety and may be cancelled or postponed at the last minute for safety, weather, or other concerns. This is a first come first serve event.
