The park visitation has diminished and there is less hustle in the valley for parking. The trails are not so busy and the weather allows for more pleasant hikes and walks outside. September is still great for biking, hiking, horseback riding, high country trekking, kayaking, and all of the outdoor fun Yosemite National Park can offer. Although most of the waterfalls are dwindling, Vernal and Nevada Falls continue to show a decent display of water and your Glacier Point Road area hikes are still spectacular. The Tioga Road would most likely remain open throughout the month and you’ll be able to enjoy a day in the crisp alpine air of Tuolumne Meadows still.
